  5. If you can read this message in your own work space, you have 
  6. successfully executed the DDN File Transfer protocol (FTP).
  7.  
  8. To gain some further practice with FTP, might we suggest that you
  9. again make an FTP connection to host NIC.DDN.MIL (host address:
  10. 192.112.36.5), log in with Username="anonymous" and Password="guest",
  11. and pull over the following file:

  13.     netinfo:nug.doc          The DDN New User Guide

  15. This file is long (about 62 pages), and in retrieving it you will have
  16. an opportunity to see how quickly even a long file can be obtained via
  17. FTP.  Once you have transferred the file to your own work space, you
  18. can refer to it online.  The contents of this file will be very useful
  19. for learning how to use the DDN.

  21. If you do not want to store this file in your own work space, and you
  22. have access to a printer, you may want to print the file out on the
  23. printer for ready reference, and then delete the file out of your
  24. online work space.  The beauty of the network is that you can easily
  25. FTP another copy from the NIC any time.
