- CONGRATULATIONS!
-
- If you can read this message in your own work space, you have
- successfully executed the DDN File Transfer protocol (FTP).
-
- To gain some further practice with FTP, might we suggest that you
- again make an FTP connection to host NIC.DDN.MIL (host address:
- 192.112.36.5), log in with Username="anonymous" and Password="guest",
- and pull over the following file:
-
- netinfo:nug.doc The DDN New User Guide
-
- This file is long (about 62 pages), and in retrieving it you will have
- an opportunity to see how quickly even a long file can be obtained via
- FTP. Once you have transferred the file to your own work space, you
- can refer to it online. The contents of this file will be very useful
- for learning how to use the DDN.
-
- If you do not want to store this file in your own work space, and you
- have access to a printer, you may want to print the file out on the
- printer for ready reference, and then delete the file out of your
- online work space. The beauty of the network is that you can easily
- FTP another copy from the NIC any time.
